Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Chiller Technician with hands‑on experience servicing centrifugal, low‑pressure, absorption, and screw chillers in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and control troubleshooting skills, as well as a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on centrifugal, low‑pressure, absorption, and screw chillers.

Troubleshoot refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.

Conduct oil analysis, purge unit diagnostics, tube cleaning oversight, and performance testing.

Support startup, commissioning, and retrofit projects.

Work with OEM controls, VFDs, and BAS integrations.

Complete detailed service documentation and communicate findings to customers.

Adhere to all safety, EPA, and company compliance standards.

Participate in on‑call and emergency service rotations as required.

Demonstrate 5 years of chiller service experience, including centrifugal and screw chillers.

Show working knowledge of low‑pressure and absorption chiller operation and maintenance.

Have strong understanding of refrigeration theory and heat transfer principles.

Hold EPA Universal Certification.

Be able to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Prove ability to work independently and manage service priorities.

Qualifications

5 years of chiller service experience, including centrifugal and screw chillers.

Working knowledge of low‑pressure, absorption chiller operation and maintenance.

Strong understanding of refrigeration theory and heat transfer principles.

EPA Universal Certification.

Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Proven ability to work independently and manage service priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturer training (Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Johnson Controls, etc.).

Experience with absorption chillers (steam or hot water‑driven systems).

High‑voltage motor and VFD troubleshooting experience.

Familiarity with BAS platforms (Metasys, Siemens, Honeywell).

OSHA safety certifications.

Rigging certifications.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfort working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.
