Licensed Mental Health Counselor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges by providing care, assistance, and therapeutic interventions. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and the ability to work collaboratively within a clinical setting.
Duties
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and contribute to the assessment of patients' mental health needs.
Provide behavior management support to patients, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, including dance therapy, to promote emotional expression and healing.
Address gender issues counseling as part of holistic patient care.
Collaborate with social work professionals and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to support positive behavioral changes in patients.
Stay informed about ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
Requirements
A background in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is advantageous.
Knowledge of behavior management strategies and diagnostic evaluation methods is essential.
Familiarity with medical records management practices is required.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in mental health care.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet patient care requirements.
