Patient Access Representative - Part Time (20 Hours/Week)

Job Title
The Patient Access Representative will register hospital admissions and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations. Duties include collecting required patient information, verifying insurance, collecting deductibles and co-pays, and working closely with hospital, clinic, and revenue cycle personnel. The position also performs general front‑desk duties such as answering a multi‑line telephone and greeting and directing patients and visitors to the appropriate departments.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current computer experience in Microsoft products.
Previous cash‑handling experience.
Experience in Healthcare Registration (preferred).
Knowledge of insurance verification & authorization processes (preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge of general medical terminology (preferred).
Additional Information
Wage:
$19.05/hour to $28.87/hour, based on experience.
FTE:
0.5 (20 hours/week).
Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
