Job Description
To meet the needs of the Church, we seek to build teams that represent the diverse perspectives, broad life experiences and backgrounds of our global Church membership. This role helps to foster self‑reliance, care for those in need, and provide opportunities for giving and service by helping members become economically and emotionally self‑reliant; providing essential food and clothing items, disaster preparedness, and humanitarian aid. The driver operates a heavy‑duty truck‑tractor with semi‑trailer for the Welfare Self‑Reliance Department and general Church throughout the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

80% Driving Tractor/Trailer

10% Loading and unloading trailer

4% Performing safety checks, completing safety training, recording driving hours and duty status

3% Completing required shipping documents and entering data into electronic fleet management systems

2% Refueling the vehicle

1% Cleaning the vehicle

Qualifications
Required

High School diploma or equivalent.

Class 'A' commercial driver license (CDL).

International Passport required (for travel to Canada).

Complete driver qualification file including current motor vehicle record.

Ability to pass random drug tests.

Valid medical certificate.

Physically capable of heavy lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and sitting for extended periods.

Working ability to operate basic computer programs and phone apps for safety training and data entry.

Must display required interpersonal skills and dependability to reflect a positive image of the Church.

Preferred

2 years of commercial driving experience.

Hazmat, tanker, and double trailer endorsements.

Forklift and Pallet Jack certifications.
