Job Overview
Senior Tax Manager to join the Lead Tax Services team. The role entails leading multiple client service teams, managing complex projects, and delivering innovative tax solutions. The senior manager acts as a trusted advisor to clients, mentors staff, and contributes as a thought leader to the partner group, influencing firm strategy and building long‑term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee multiple client service teams, managing projects effectively and efficiently, including billing and accounts receivable responsibilities.
Review federal and state income tax returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and individual clients.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and anticipating client needs.
Provide forward‑thinking tax planning strategies, compliance expertise, and technical tax research.
Prepare and review detailed technical tax memoranda.
Identify and manage risks associated with tax services to ensure compliance and protect client and firm interests.
Mentor and develop staff and managers, providing regular feedback and conducting both formal and informal performance evaluations.
Serve as a resource and thought partner to the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision‑making and client service excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation or LLM strongly preferred.
Active CPA license required.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend.
Proven success in engagement and client management, with a track record of growing and sustaining client relationships.
Strong technical expertise in federal and state taxation, including Subchapter C and provision experience; Subchapter K experience preferred.
Excellent writing, communication, and tax research skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with a passion for mentoring, developing, and guiding high‑performing teams.
Compensation
The disclosed salary range is $106,500.00 - $267,500.00 per year. The range is based on skill set, experience, licensure, and other business factors.
