Responsibilities

Design power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, and grounding for buildings and infrastructure projects
Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies
Conduct lighting photometric calculations using AGI
Assign circuitry for power and lighting devices
Prepare technical reports
Work on projects using Revit MEP and SKM
Contribute to development of reports and electrical calculations
Collaborate with professionals from other disciplines and vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects
Attend meetings and participate in discussions with other disciplines and architects to gain knowledge and experience
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field; or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering (BSAE) or an equivalent
Demonstrated interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems in buildings and infrastructure
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in person and in writing
Independent initiative, creative problem solving, eagerness to learn, and teamwork
Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based work
Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at all levels
EIT/FE certification preferred
Coursework in building systems design, electrical power systems design, control systems, electric machines, and codes and standards preferred
Internship experience in a consulting firm with emphasis on buildings electrical power system design preferred
Interest in sustainability evidenced by extracurricular activities or related experiences preferred
Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32, SKM Power Tools preferred
Experience with automation or machine learning preferred
Proven ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment preferred
Evidence of teamwork and leadership (e.g., professional accomplishments, honors) preferred
Eligibility to work in the US without employer sponsorship now or in the future for this role

Los Angeles Hiring Range: $74,000 to $81,500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, education, and skills. Benefits are not included in the base salary; ranges outside Los Angeles may differ.
