Position Overview
GNS North America is seeking a highly organized and analytical Master Scheduler to support our Canton manufacturing operations, specializing in hot stamping, laser, weld, and assembly processes. This role is critical in aligning production schedules with customer demand, material availability, and plant capacity to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
The Master Scheduler will serve as a key link between the plant, warehouse and customer requirements driving execution and continuous improvement within a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on customer releases, forecasts, and plant capacity
Coordinate daily and weekly production plans across hot stamping, laser, weld, and downstream operations
Analyze demand variability, capacity constraints, and material availability to proactively adjust schedules
Collaborate with materials, production, maintenance and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimal disruption
Monitor and report on key metrics such as:
Schedule attainment
On-time delivery (OTD)
Inventory levels and turns
Lead production scheduling meetings and communicate changes effectively across departments
Work within ERP/MES systems (experience with **Plex Systems preferred) to manage scheduling, inventory, and reporting
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy and plant performance
Support launch activities, engineering changes, and customer demand fluctuations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of scheduling/planning experience in automotive manufacturing
Experience in hot stamping, metal forming, or high-volume production environments strongly preferred
Strong understanding of: Capacity planning, Production flow and constraints, Inventory management principles
Advanced skills in Excel and ERP systems (Plex experience a plus)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
