You'll work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to implement robust process controls, train/lead technicians, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.Why join us?If you've led or scaled a finishing line (chemical conversion, electrochemical coating, pre-treat, paint/prime, inspection processes, wastewater/ETP) within a NADCAP facility, and enjoy building systems from the ground up, you'll have real ownership here.Pay: $110,000 - $160,000 annually (negotiable)Full benefits:Medical, dental, vision401(k) with company matchPaid holidays + PTOLife insurance and additional coverage optionsJob DetailsWhat You'll Be Responsible For:Stand up and stabilize a new chemical processing/finishing operation — from layout and workflow to documentation and control plans.Own process performance (quality, throughput, yield, rework reduction) through data, controls, and disciplined troubleshooting.Create and maintain process documentation (work instructions, SOPs, safety procedures, chemical handling, risk reviews, training guides).Implement process controls including routine checks, solution maintenance, and verification methods to keep chemistry within target windows.Partner cross-functionally with Quality / Engineering / Operations / EHS to align specs, improve capability, and eliminate defects.Lead problem solving (RCA/8D/CAPA) when issues occur — and prevent recurrence through systemic fixes.Manage or support wastewater treatment and disposal practices, ensuring compliance and reliable operation.Lead, coach, and develop a small team of technicians — scheduling, training, performance expectations, and engagement.Support certification and customer requirements tied to special processes (industry accreditation experience is a plus).Support audits and customer interactions by providing technical explanations, records, and process evidence.What We're Looking For:Required experienceExperience leading or supporting chemical processing / surface finishing in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense or similarly regulated industries strongly preferred).Demonstrated ability to build and enforce repeatable processes with documentation, training, and measurable controls.Working knowledge of process capability concepts (SPC, control plans, corrective actions, FMEA-style risk thinking).Comfort spending time on the floor and in the details — this is not a "desk-only" manager role.Preferred experienceFamiliarity with aerospace quality systems and customer oversight expectations (e.g., special process requirements, audit readiness).Experience guiding accreditation/certification efforts related to finishing/special processes.Knowledge of environmental and safety requirements tied to chemical handling, waste streams, and treatment systems.Hands-on exposure to solution monitoring/adjustment methods (titration, pH, conductivity/temperature controls, etc.).NDT credentials (Level II/III) are a plus.Interested in hearing more?
