
Social Media Manager / Content - The Collective

Job Overview
We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Social Media Manager to lead strategy and storytelling for the Collective’s women’s advisory practice’s social media account – @the.team.collective. This role will oversee social channels that reflect the Collective’s cross‑disciplinary work across sports and marketing. What You'll Do
Lead social strategy and content planning for the Collective’s social platforms and newsletter, with clear channel roles, content pillars, and a repeatable testing framework across Instagram and LinkedIn.
Proactively develop and execute content calendars aligned with brand and business goals.
Translate research and insights into engaging, social‑first storytelling.
Manage content building, copywriting, post publishing, community engagement and performance tracking.
Stay closely connected to the broader communications strategy, ensuring social supports and amplifies events, talent, and global initiatives in a cohesive way.
Collaborate with creative teams to produce high‑impact, social‑first content across formats (short‑form video, carousels, real‑time content).
Build creative frameworks to ensure content is culturally relevant and engaging.
Produce visually compelling, insight‑led content while identifying trends and moments to attract new followers and increase reach.
Turn research, data and insights into digestible social content (carousels, video, infographics).
Travel onsite for key moments in the calendar to create compelling content integrated with events, clients and partners.
Execute paid social campaigns to amplify research and key initiatives, managing targeting, budgets and performance optimization across platforms.
Test and refine creative and audience strategies to drive results.
Track and report on campaign performance and key metrics.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of agency‑side or brand experience developing social media creative, editing copy and engaging with an audience.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field (preferred).
Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience using tools like Asana (or similar platforms) to manage workflows and deadlines.
Familiarity with native Instagram/LinkedIn Insights and CMS tools such as Sprinklr.
Extensive knowledge of social media best practices and emerging trends.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong relationship‑management skills (internally and with clients).
Innate curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit.
High standard of excellence, with the flexibility to work nontraditional hours when needed and anticipate challenges with thoughtful communication.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Keynote, Slack and Box.
Flawless spelling and grammar.
Video capture, editing, production and on‑camera abilities (CapCut, Edits, Premiere Pro, etc.).
Strong awareness of cultural trends across sports, music and entertainment.
Passion for and extensive knowledge of advancing the power of women across sports, music and entertainment.
Base Salary Range
$65,000 – $75,000, plus bonus potential if applicable for the role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations and tenure at the company. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
