Cloud Solutions Architect

What You’ll Work On:
- Lead the design, development, and integration of ashore and afloat network and cloud-agnostic system architectures to meet operational objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, program managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless system performance.
- Conduct system assessments, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements for optimal performance.
- Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and reports for stakeholders.
- Lead the design of architectures for Windows Server-based enterprise IT systems and management tools.
- Collaborate with systems and network engineering teams to assess current-state environments and identify migration dependencies.
- Develop detailed workload migration plans, including timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with technical and program managers to ensure alignment of architecture plans with broader project goals and timelines.
- Provide guidance and oversight during implementation phases to ensure architectural compliance.
- Scale delivery of modern systems engineering best practices, including digital engineering, automation, and orchestration, across both systems and network solutions.
You Have:
- 12+ years of experience with enterprise systems engineering in a DoD environment spanning multiple enclaves or security domains
- Experience with Red Hat and Microsoft enterprise technologies, virtualization platforms, or hybrid cloud services
- Experience with SAN, HCI, and backup or DR architectures
- Experience supporting deployable or tactical IT environments, and with DoD cybersecurity compliance, including RMF or STIGs
- Experience with architecture, design, and implementation of secure AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
- Knowledge of voice, video, and IP-based communications systems
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a CS, IT, or Engineering field
- Ability to obtain a DoD IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification, within 30 days of start date
Nice If You Have:
- Experience applying core systems engineering concepts, processes, practices, and procedures in technical assignments
- Experience across enterprise-level platforms encompassing servers, storage, networking, software, and application services
- Experience collaborating and coordinating with senior-level stakeholders and organizational leaders
- Knowledge of RF and SATCOM communication networks
- Ability to mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and technical excellence
- Possession of excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Master’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced Cybersecurity Certification such as CASP+ or CISSP Certification
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
Salary range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
