Legal Analyst, Public Rights Division, Charitable Trusts Section

The Legal Analyst’s duties include assisting attorneys with investigations, discovery, trial preparations and trials, and with administrative enforcement actions. Duties also include updating and maintaining indices and databases related to the supervision and regulation of the nonprofit sector.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate’s relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical and paralegal skills. Familiarity with legal concepts and civil and probate procedure is highly desirable. Experience with electronic discovery software, Relativity, CaseMap, Trial Director, Power Point, Word and Excel is highly desirable, as are relevant linguistic skills and experience in investigations and complex litigation. The applicant should possess the ability to work independently or in a team setting, take initiative, assume high-level responsibility, and exercise good judgment. Good oral and written communication skills are critical.
