Position summary:
The Accounting Systems Specialist is responsible for assisting the Accounting Systems Manager in overseeing and managing the organization’s accounting systems and software applications. This role involves ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of financial processes through the effective utilization and maintenance of accounting software and related systems. The Accounting Systems Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and other relevant departments, to optimize and streamline accounting operations.

Compensation for this position is $28.00-43.00/hourly, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assist in the ongoing maintenance, updates, and upgrades of accounting systems to ensure they align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Collaborate with IT and software vendors to customize and configure accounting software based on organizational needs
Work with relevant stakeholders to implement process enhancements and automation
Assist in the implementation of accounting software systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and databases
Assist in developing and maintaining user documentation for accounting software applications
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
0-2 years of experience in accounting systems or a similar role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
Familiarity with data security and compliance standards
Qualifications Preferred
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Finance
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
