Job Details
Full‑time, Hybrid (Remote/Office) – Permanent position, in‑office presence 3 days a week.
You’ll Make a Difference By
Design Development: Create ideas and refine designs for power distribution equipment, including switch devices, switchgear, and circuit breakers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Technical Analysis: Conduct simulations and analyses with software tools such as NX and Teamcenter to evaluate design feasibility and performance.
Prototyping and Testing: Direct prototyping and testing phases, analyze results to validate designs and make necessary adjustments to meet performance criteria.
Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of design processes, test results, and project reports to support compliance and future development efforts.
Collaboration: Work closely with international cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure seamless project execution and integration.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance design processes and product offerings.
Innovative Solutions: Identify and implement innovative design approaches and technologies to enhance product functionality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Sub‑Project Management: Lead project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful completion of design initiatives and alignment with strategic objectives within the assigned tasks.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project updates for stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
3+ years of experience in R&D and design roles, specifically in power distribution or electrical equipment.
Ability to be on‑site at Wendell, NC location a minimum of 3 days per week.
Proficient in English (written and verbal).
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in design software (e.g., NX, Teamcenter).
Experience designing power distribution equipment, including switch devices, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
Experience leading teams, inspiring collaboration, and driving innovation.
Skilled in working on complex projects with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders across cross‑functional teams.

The pay range for this position is $83,966 – $143,942 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and location.
