Shift Details
C shift – Thursday through Saturday and E/O Wednesday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Job Summary
As a Packaging Machine Operator for Materne North America, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the packaging machine during the final stages of our manufacturing process.
Position Responsibilities
Operate high‑speed packaging and palletizing equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment.
Set machine to increase or decrease number of cases selected for different size formats.
Reset robotic arm positions after line shutdown.
Load packaging materials into packaging machine and palletizing machine.
Set machine to increase or decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves.
Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize.
Observe and inspect materials to identify contamination, foreign materials, uniformity, and quality.
Operate industrial carts and power hand carts.
Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment.
Clean packaging and palletizing area and sanitize equipment.
Complete daily paperwork and reports.
Perform and complete sensory testing.
Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per shift.
Demonstrate the Company’s values and winning behaviors while adhering to all company policies and practices, including safety and environmental protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12 hours).
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per shift.
Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Technical / Trade School preferred.
Experience
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Prior experience working in the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English.
Mechanical aptitude.
Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred).
Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take/record measurements and understand tare weight).
