CMM Programmer
Howmet Aerospace Inc. (NYSE: HWM), headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries.

Responsibilities
The Production Planner is responsible for providing an interface between customers and in‑house personnel, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of parts. This role also includes CMM programming, Structured Light measurement programming, Best Fit software programming, and NX CAD modeling.

Develop dimensional inspection programs using Visual Basic and Python based on requirement definitions, customer blueprints, CAD models, and specifications for manufacturing data collection, analysis, and distribution.

Support existing programs by troubleshooting, implementing modifications, or adding new information as required.

Work with end users to create requirement definitions and functional designs for enhancements to existing programs and for development of new applications.

Use NX CAD software to extract geometric information from models to generate CMM and Structured Light part programs, support electronic data management, and assist in tool builds, gating builds, and production of gating schemes. Assist engineering in analyzing electronic models and working with casting and tooling houses.

Document all required materials to satisfy customer and quality requirements.

Instruct end users in the use of applications.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including basic statistical and probability concepts.

Ability to interpret technical instructions, conduct mathematical analysis, and adapt to abstract and concrete variables.

Excellent written and oral communication skills for creating reports, business correspondence, and presenting information to managers, clients, and customers.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a technical field or high school diploma with at least two years of comparable technical experience.

Five years related experience and/or training.

Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility required at hire; visa sponsorship not available.

Position may involve access to export‑controlled items; applicant must be able to lawfully obtain such access.
