Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer with experience in designing, building, and scaling modern data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics ecosystems. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in
dbt ,
Snowflake ,
cloud data warehousing ,
ETL/ELT pipelines , and
data modeling , along with a proven ability to partner with business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact, analytics‑ready data products. This role is highly technical and hands‑on, requiring strong SQL development, data architecture skills, and experience building governed, scalable transformation layers using modern data engineering best practices.
Data Architecture & Engineering
Architect, design, and build
end‑to‑end data warehouses
and analytics models across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, and Product domains.
Develop scalable
dbt pipelines
using medallion architecture (bronze/staging, silver/intermediate, gold/marts).
Build
incremental models , optimize SQL transformations, and reduce compute costs through performance tuning.
Create
custom dbt macros
for data transformations and process standardization.
Implement
CI/CD workflows
for dbt deployments across Dev, QA, and Production environments.
Data Modeling & Governance
Design complex
dimensional models , semantic layers, and star/snowflake schemas for enterprise analytics.
Implement
dbt snapshots
to track SCD changes for customers, contracts, entitlements, and product adoption.
Meet with stakeholders to understand requirements and build Business views to support those needs.
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as the
dbt subject matter expert , you will help in defining standards and best practices.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting engineering rigor and code quality.
Partner with Product Owners, Analysts, and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, or Data Architecture.
Expert‑level SQL and strong experience with:
dbt Core/Studio
Snowflake
Strong understanding of
data warehousing ,
dimensional modeling , and
governance .
Experience with
Git
for version control and release management.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with SnapLogic.
Background in building customer‑facing data products.
Experience with observability tools (Splunk).
Proficiency in
Python .
Experience with
Databricks
development.
