We are seeking a Broadcast Associate / Correspondent Assistant to join the CBS News team in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for news, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task while sticking to strict deadlines. Responsibilities

Perform administrative duties, including maintaining calendars, coordinating travel, preparing expense reports, and overseeing the day-to-day needs of the anchor.
Conduct research for pieces and special reports as requested by the Anchor, Senior Producer, and Producers.
Manage social media accounts, such as pitching, shooting, editing, and producing across platforms.
Communicate professionally and discreetly with executives and talent.
Assist with long term project planning and story development.
Support coverage of breaking news and major events, which may include nights, weekends, and overnight hours.
Qualifications

Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
Must be a team player with a positive outlook.
Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and passport.
Ability to balance priorities, multiple projects, and tasks, and act with urgency.
Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Prior experience in a news setting is strongly preferred.
Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $45,000.00 - 50,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
