Responsibilities
String payoff; point, weld, and grind material as applicable
Set up die boxes, ensuring proper alignment, die selection, and lubricants
Set up by measuring wire diameter between die boxes
Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained
Complete all documentation and turn in a work order to the supervisor
Know how to die set‑ups and basic scheduling techniques
Set up and run more than one machine when needed, i.e. BB‑14, BB‑22, HRD
Ensure work area is clean and excess materials are properly tagged
Properly use a micrometer
Train new operators, if necessary
Cut samples for quality control
Operate a crane and a forklift
Assist the production manager and other operators as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
2+ years experience in furnace operation.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
Proficiency with using tools and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
