JOB SUMMARY
Preferred candidates should have a Process Technology degree or be currently enrolled (with passing grades) in the program or related degree. The preferred candidate should have prior leadership experience, be proficient in reading P&IDs and have the ability to read isometric drawings. Prior well operating experience preferred. Prior experience with writing and executing Energy Isolation Procedures, pipeline pigging, E-Line, Wire Line, Coil Tube Drilling, Hardline, Roustabout and Down-hole pumping is highly desirable. Familiarity of drill-sites, wells, along with prior oil field or related operating and maintenance experience will be considered. Lastly knowledge of pressurized hydrocarbon and hydrogen sulfide safety procedures and practices is essential as well as an awareness of environmental considerations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Valve removal and installation on wells and manifold buildings.
VS system PMs, corrective maintenance and function testing.
Pipeline pigging.
Other duties as assigned.
Freeze protection of surface piping and tubing.
Writing notifications and work orders using SAP.
Daily inspection of all drill-site equipment and process.
Issuing permits for drill-site work.
Well safety system testing and well safe outs.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of drill-site equipment.
WAGs; schedule and order kill fluids or freeze protects.
Roll wells in and out of test separators. Include strainer clean outs, trouble shooting well test, shake outs for water cut and gas sample, geo samples and sand jetting separators.
Daily lift gas operations.
Daily MI gas and water injections operations.
Shutting in and bringing on line production and injection wells for operational considerations.
Monitor and troubleshoot wells.
Work involves exposure to extreme cold temperatures and otherwise hazardous conditions at various locations.
Responsible for the safe operation of the process, all personnel working on the drill-site and applicable daily, monthly and yearly reporting.
Writes and executes Energy Isolation procedures for applicable drill-site work.
Project and shutdown support.
Leading by example with a "Zero Incident Culture" person, as well as promoting this culture within all Kuparuk personnel.
Needs to be able to work alone, self-motivated with a positive attitude, great aptitude with strong leadership skills.
Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Drill Site Maintenance role required.
Minimum of six (6) months experience as step up lead required.
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver\'s license required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Process Technology degree or currently enrolled (with passing grades) in the program or related degree preferred.
Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, lodging and food will be provided. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee\'s ability to safely meet job standards.
