Pay:

Starting rate $30.00 + Pay rate based on experience.

About the Role:
POLYWOOD® is looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician who thrives in a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment and takes pride in keeping our equipment, facilities, and people safe. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, values preventive maintenance, and prefers a later shift while supporting a strong safety culture.

What You’ll Do:

Diagnose and repair

complex electrical controls, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

to minimize downtime during 2nd shift operations

Troubleshoot and support

PLC‑controlled equipment , including I/O, sensors, VFDs, HMIs, safety circuits, and motor control components

Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on

industrial power systems , including 120–480 volt single‑and three‑phase circuits

Analyze equipment failures to identify

root causes

and implement long‑term corrective actions

Complete preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime

Troubleshoot and repair

CNC machinery , heating elements, motors, temperature controllers, and pneumatic systems

Read, interpret, and apply

electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation

Perform limited mechanical repairs including belts, pulleys, bearings, and gear‑driven components as needed to support operations

Follow all

lockout/tagout

procedures, electrical safety standards, and safe work practices

Partner with leadership and cross‑functional teams to identify

process, reliability, and equipment improvement opportunities

Support sourcing and installation of

cost‑effective electrical and controls‑related maintenance solutions

Provide off‑shift technical support with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Mechanical issues with dust collection systems, CNCs, extruders, pneumatic issues, plumbing, and basic building upkeep

What You Bring:

5 or more years of hands‑on experience

in industrial electrical maintenance and electrical controls within a manufacturing environment

Advanced experience troubleshooting

electrical controls systems , including PLCs and related components

Strong understanding of

industrial electrical systems , control panels, wiring methods, and electrical schematics

Proven experience working with

PLC platforms , VFDs, HMIs, sensors, safety circuits, and motor controls

Demonstrated ability to

diagnose root causes

of complex equipment and automation failures

Working knowledge of

lockout/tagout , electrical safety standards, and industrial safety programs

High attention to detail with a strong commitment to

safety, quality, and equipment reliability

Self‑directed, dependable, and comfortable

working independently , including during off‑shift hours when required

Ability to pass a background check

Bonus Skills:

Journeyman‑level electrical training, certification, or equivalent experience

Experience with PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, or similar) and industrial networks

Exposure to robotics, automated production lines, or machine safety systems
