Responsibilities

Assists with daily Admissions functions including but not limited to ensuring staff compliance with PCI standards and cash handling policies, cashing Admissions Associates in and out of their register, and assists with scheduling of breaks for Admissions Associates. Assists in monitoring Admissions areas to maintain safe, clean conditions.

Maintains and replenishes supplies for workstations. When necessary, makes customer service decisions in the absence of Admissions Management and processes returns. Operates the museum's ticketing system to process ticket sales, sells/renews memberships, and scans in e-ticket visitors on assigned dates and/or when requested.

On assigned dates or requested dates and at the direction of the Box Office Manager, implements box office duties including but not limited to open/close registers, operating the museum's ticketing system for phone orders and in-person ticketing and reporting. Assists with ensuring all box office operations proceed efficiently and reports any concerns to the Box Office Manager.

Oversees on-the-spot interpretation of policies related to the box office and house in the absence of Box Office Management. Maintains a customer service focus with patrons and other staff. Works with Front of House personnel during performances and events as needed, associated with seating issues, scanning, ushering, ADA concerns, customer service, etc. to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.

Assists in implementing all Summer Circus Group Sales from inquiry through post-visit evaluation. Works directly with Front of House Manager and Box Office Manager to ensure a positive visitor experience for Group Sales visitors. Maintains consistent, organized processes to provide a seamless high-quality experience.

Assists box office with tasks including but not limited to phone orders, Front of House needs, ticket exchanges and will call.

Assists with training staff on job responsibilities, admissions processes, customer service skills, museum offerings, promotions, and membership (member benefits, selling memberships, renewals, gift of memberships).

Implements Visitor Services duties in Admissions and Box Office to maximize the visitor experience including disseminating general information, providing visitor orientation, compiling visitor data and surveys. At the direction of Admissions or Box Office Management, answer phone calls or emails for visitor follow-up. Performs other duties as assigned, which support Visitor Services functions and museum operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Anticipated Salary Range: $36,500 or higher annually.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with one hour for lunch.

The incumbent may be required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or special events based on the needs of The Ringling.
