Responsibilities
Completes minor repairs such as patching holes, painting, repairs, furniture, doorknobs, locks, replacing light bulbs, replacing cover plates, and clearing obstructions in drains and toilets. Repairs washers, dryers, dishwashers, small appliances.
Reports any inefficient or unsafe conditions to management upon discovery.
Completes all paperwork accurately as instructed by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.
Performs all work using safety equipment and obeys all safety rules and procedures.
Works closely with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and co‑workers to maintain efficient operations.
Assists in providing on‑the‑job training for employees.
Completes work orders as assigned in a timely manner.
Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required responsibilities.
Assists with facility inspections as directed.
Assists in pest control as required.
Makes purchase orders ensuring receipt is obtained.
Clears driveways and sidewalks of snow and uses appropriate materials to safeguard against slipping on ice.
Assumes housekeeping duties as assigned.
Assists with center vehicle repairs.
Willing to work overtime as needed and participate in an on‑call rotation.
Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby guaranteeing a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
Attends all required staff training opportunities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year of maintenance experience required.
Experience working with youth.
A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
