
Production Technician

Purpose of the Position
A Production Technician at Kistler Instrument Corp performs all the assembly, testing, calibration, and/or inspection operations required to manufacture Kistler products. They work under guidance of the Production Supervisor and collaborate closely with production engineering.
Main Tasks
Main Tasks vary depending on the needs of the assigned department. Kistler develops tailored training programs to ensure Production Technicians have the competencies required to complete specific tasks.
Assemble and test products according to product documentation (assembly instructions, test procedures, engineering drawings, etc.)
Perform assembly operations such as soldering, mechanical fastening, and/or adhesive bonding under a microscope using small tools (tweezers, soldering irons, etc.)
Ensure product quality by performing visual inspections, functional tests, and/or calibrations
Basic operation of equipment necessary to assemble, test, and/or calibrate transducers (welders, bead blasters, shakers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Professional Competencies
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
Requirements
Ability to organize daily work activities according to supervisor instruction
Work independently or in a team environment
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
See through and work at a binocular microscope for extended periods
