Job Summary
Northrop Grumman seeks a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst. The analyst will work on revolutionary systems that impact people worldwide, supporting the entire proposal process from RFP to acceptance.
Location: Melbourne, Florida – on site.
Relocation assistance may be available.
Clearance required: Secret.
Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time.
Responsibilities
Analyze and price materials for various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Type, and Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity. Coordinate with Global Supply Chain, manage labor inputs, support RFIs, provide audit support, conduct negotiations and the sweep process. Collaborate across functions to deliver first‑time quality, compliant proposals on schedule.
Understand Statement of Work and prepare material estimates.
Price consolidated bill of material (CBOM) using engineering/programmatic data, supplier quotes, PO history, and engineering estimates to provide compliant, quality estimates.
Request supplier proposals/quotes and lead times from Global Supply Chain and prepare labor estimates for all functions.
Prepare material cost volume supporting proposals, ensuring compliance and quality.
Support presentation and approval of material estimates to senior leadership.
Prepare price analysis for all quotes/proposals on CBOM under $2.5M.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals and/or business-related experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of such experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher (background investigation completed within last 6 years or currently in Continuous Evaluation).
Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program clearance prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior proposal experience.
Working knowledge of SAP or other accounting systems.
Experience in material estimating, procurement, or other supply chain roles.
Familiarity with cost improvement curves.
Experience with the government contract environment (FAR and DFARS).
Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance with full investigation closed in last six years and ability to obtain SP Access.
Salary and Benefits
Primary level salary range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00. The range is a guideline and may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
