
Fund Accounting Manager

A growing fund administration firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its expanding accounting and client service platform. This role will report directly to senior leadership and support a diverse client base across multiple asset classes and fund structures. The firm partners closely with investment managers to deliver institutional quality accounting, reporting, and operational support, and places a strong emphasis on ownership, professional development, and long term career growth. This position is well suited for someone looking to step into a manager level role while gaining exposure to both established funds and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day to day fund accounting and administration for a portfolio of client funds, including cash activity, capital activity, and NAV oversight
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing ongoing support and acting as a trusted partner on accounting and operational matters
Support the launch of new fund products, including onboarding of new clients, review of fund structures, system setup, and coordination with internal teams and external service providers
Oversee cash positioning and liquidity across client structures, including intercompany and multi entity arrangements where applicable
Review and manage revenue invoicing and expense allocations for client funds and related entities
Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closes, financial statements, and investor reporting
Prepare and review reporting for banks, auditors, and other third parties
Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable procedures and documentation to support firm growth and increasing client complexity
Qualifications:
2 to 8 years of experience in fund administration or fund accounting
Strong understanding of hedge fund, private fund, or complex investment structures
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with fund accounting or general ledger systems
Background in public accounting or fund administration strongly preferred
CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus
Proactive, self starter with strong client service skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
