HR & Site Operations Specialist
The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR & Site Operations Specialist to support our Los Angeles site. This role is a critical part of maintaining a compliant, efficient, and well-run operation by supporting HR processes while coordinating key site activities.
This position is designed for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in HR and operations, with exposure to employee relations, compliance, and cross-functional business support.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
Safety & Compliance
Support adherence to company policies and federal and California labor requirements
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
Assist with payroll review and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Support onboarding compliance, including documentation and training completion
Assist with audits, reporting, and EHS coordination
HR Operations
Coordinate onboarding and employee set-up processes
Serve as a first point of contact for general HR inquiries
Support processes and policy adherence
Assist with employee engagement activities and training coordination
Procurement & Site Coordination
Coordinate purchasing requests and track purchase orders (SAP/Ariba)
Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
Maintain documentation for audit and coordinate record retention for the site
Support cross-functional site needs across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Supply Chain
Site & Administrative Operations
Coordinate meetings, training, and site events
Maintain office and site supply inventory
Ensure shared spaces are organized and operational
What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)
Demonstrates strong ownership of coordination and site processes
Supports accurate payroll, onboarding, and compliance documentation
Builds strong cross-functional relationships across the site
Identifies and improves at least 1-2 processes for efficiency
Begins taking on more complex HR responsibilities with guidance
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in HR support, administrative coordination, or similar role
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Skills and knowledge
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems preferred
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
What can we offer you?
Salary: $85,000-$104,000 per year
The compensation range reflects the Company's reasonable expectation at the time of posting, considering education, experience, and training.
