We’re partnering with a fast‑paced staffing organization to hire a Payroll Manager who will own end‑to‑end payroll operations for a large, multi‑state employee population. This role is ideal for a payroll leader who thrives in high‑volume environments, understands the complexity of staffing payroll, and is confident in driving accuracy, compliance, and process improvement. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly desired.
What you'll do:
Run full‑cycle payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple pay groups and schedules
Ensure multi‑state compliance (tax registrations, withholding, reciprocal agreements)
Manage staffing payroll complexity (hourly, variable pay, OT, shift differentials, bonuses/commissions as applicable)
Maintain compliance with wage/hour laws, garnishments, unemployment, and related regulations
Own payroll systems and reporting; optimize workflows and controls (ADP WFN preferred)
Lead audits, reconciliations, quarter/year‑end close, W‑2s, and agency filings
What we're looking for:
Significant payroll leadership experience supporting large‑scale payroll
Proven expertise in managing multi‑state payroll and related compliance/tax considerations
Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, controls, and reconciliation discipline
Compensation:
$110,000‑$130,000 per year
