Job Summary
The Photo Biomodulation (PBM) Coordinator is a hybrid clinical and administrative role supporting patient care, clinic flow, and PBM treatments. This position combines responsibilities across technician, medical assistant, scribe, and PBM coordination functions while working under a Physician Assistant to deliver a seamless patient experience.

Essential Functions

Greet and guide patients through PBM-focused visits in a professional, pleasant and welcoming manner.

Obtain, document, and update patient history accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

Assist with and support Photo Biomodulation (PBM) treatments in accordance with established protocols and provider direction.

Prepare patients for PBM treatments and monitor them throughout the procedure to ensure safety and comfort.

Perform pre-examination testing, including visual acuity and other basic ophthalmic assessments.

Conduct ophthalmic pre-testing and basic diagnostic testing as trained.

Scribe for providers, ensuring accurate and timely real-time documentation.

Schedule, coordinate, and manage PBM patient appointments and related communication.

Verify patient information, collect payments, and support PBM-related front office functions.

Maintain exam and treatment rooms, equipment, and PBM supplies in accordance with clinic standards.

Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong knowledge of clinical and administrative workflows in a healthcare setting.

Ability to learn, adapt to, and support Photo Biomodulation (PBM) technology and related protocols.

Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on patient-centered service.

High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation.

Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Demonstrated professionalism with a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.

One (1) or more years of experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred.

Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Willingness and ability to be trained on Photo Biomodulation (PBM) technology and related protocols.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday.

Manual dexterity sufficient to operate clinical and office equipment, including computers and medical instruments.

Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
