STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Structures Mechanics in Tucson, Arizona. This is your chance to join a dynamic team performing heavy maintenance on commercial aircraft. If you're experienced in structural sheet metal repairs and ready to work in a fast-paced MRO environment, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and 5S standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Remove and install aircraft components as required
Fabricate or modify structural aircraft parts and perform minor composite repairs (attached/detached)
Assist in hidden damage inspections and complex structural repairs on or off the aircraft
Operate ground support equipment as needed
Support aircraft component repairs and perform electrical/mechanical removals and installations
Travel to off-site maintenance locations if required
Assist with aircraft wing removal and confined space inspections
Support fixture design and welding of metal modifications
Provide accurate work time estimates when necessary
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of structural sheet metal repair or modification experience (or substantiated equivalent)
FAA Airframe License is required
MRO or heavy maintenance experience is required
Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
Must supply your own tools and demonstrate proper tool control
Comfortable with 12-hour shifts, including overnights, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled overtime
Basic computer proficiency required
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience working on corporate or commercial jets
CRJ airframe experience is a plus
Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) is a plus
Passion for CRJ aircraft and a desire to grow professionally in aviation maintenance
