
Construction Manager

Responsibilities
Manage daily field operations to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with client standards
Enforce OSHA regulations, safety programs, and site‑specific safety plans
Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and crews to maintain project schedules
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work packages
Monitor progress against schedule and budget; identify and mitigate risks or delays
Conduct pre‑construction meetings, daily tailboards, and coordination meetings with stakeholders
Oversee material deliveries, equipment usage, and laydown area logistics
Review and approve field changes, RFIs, change orders, and as‑built documentation
Support testing and closeout activities including punch lists and turnover packages
Qualifications
5+ years of experience within construction management (commercial or industrial)
Clear, effective communicator with strong listening and presentation abilities
Proven problem solver with sound judgment and decisive decision‑making skills
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Previous utility construction project management experience (Nice to have)
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (Nice to have)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
