Job Title: Accounting Specialist (Contract)
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (flexible scheduling)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension
Pay Rate: n$20–$23 per hour (W2)
Shift Timing: First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM CST

Role Overview
We are hiring an Accounting Specialist to support high-volume financial operations in a structured, fast-paced environment. This role primarily focuses on account reconciliation, transaction processing, and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform account reconciliations, ensuring financial records are accurate and balanced
Support reconciliation of commercial loan accounts
Process financial transactions including:
Journal entries
Expense-related items
Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and execute corrections
Perform General Ledger (GL) uploads and maintain data integrity
Clear daily transaction queues while meeting SLA and productivity targets
Prepare and review routine financial reports
Respond to internal inquiries and support issue resolution
Validate and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in:
Accounting
Finance operations
Banking or related field
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
General Ledger processes
Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced operations
Work Environment & Expectations
Hybrid work model (3 days onsite weekly)
Early morning shift required
Fast-paced, target-driven environment with daily productivity goals
Collaborative team setting (approx. 8 members)
Structured workflows with focus on accuracy and efficiency
