Nursing Instructor
BSN Faculty
Individuals applying for this position must enroll and successfully complete a Master of Nursing program within three years of employment.

Salary: $48,152.00
9/10-month Term
Motlow State is located in the beautiful rolling hills of middle Tennessee and has four campuses that serve students from eleven counties. General Function
Provide high quality effective instruction in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus; Facilitate student learning, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using each course's standard course outline as a guide; Advise and mentor students about academic and career goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing and an unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing License.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing and an unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing License. Three years of Community College teaching experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus with the direct assistance of a mentor
Travel to multiple campuses as assigned
Advise and mentor students about academic and career goals with the direct assistance of a mentor
Collaborate collegially with faculty, curriculum chair, and academic leadership about curricular and programmatic issues and needs
Collaborate collegially with faculty, administration and staff to support the students, strategic plan, goals and business operations of the college; Work collegially as part of both discipline-specific and multidisciplinary teams
Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline
Assist in keeping instructional resources current with the direct assistance of a mentor
Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college; Participate in graduation exercises
Teach a 15-hour load per semester (Fall and Spring); Teach an 8-hour load in summer
Post and maintain office hours which provide adequate time for academic advisement with students; out-of-class meetings with students and colleagues; and faculty, division, and departmental meetings
Submit all requested paperwork timely and completely
Serve on college committees
Perform all duties in accordance with both TBR and MSCC policies
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and the ability to work and function within a team
Strong computer skills, including presentation programs, remote meeting programs, recording programs, email, internet and LM systems
Knowledge of confidentiality statutes and policies as they apply to FERPA and HIPPA
Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with students, fellow employees, college administrators, and other stakeholders
