Planned Parenthood Association of Utah (PPAU) is a non‑profit family planning agency that provides high‑quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care at six health centers across Utah.
About This Position
Our West Valley Clinic is seeking a full‑time employee (32 hours per week) to perform clinical and clerical duties, maintain the clinic, train team members, interns, and volunteers, and provide information about PPAU resources and services.
Job Duties
Communicate with clients in a non‑directive manner about options and provide referrals.
Handle opening, closing, maintenance, and cleanliness of the clinic.
Perform routine office duties (answer phone, schedule appointments, collect fees, enter client data).
Maintain accurate client records and laboratory systems.
Interview clients to obtain medical history and provide client education.
Give factual, unbiased information on FDA‑approved birth control methods and abortion services.
Assist the medical provider in examination and procedure rooms.
Describe differences between medical and surgical abortions.
Perform phlebotomy and laboratory duties for abortion services.
Ensure the medical office is clean and stocked with proper equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
High‑school graduation or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
Experience in a medical center setting.
Education in medical or family‑planning area preferred.
Computer competency preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Saturday availability required.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $20.00. Upon passing the Spanish proficiency exam, hourly pay increases to $21.00.
