Position: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Invasive - Interventional Cardiologist
Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Work Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
Procedures performed: stent placements, pacemaker implants, generator changes, right and left heart catheterizations, cardioverter defibrillator implantation, loop recorder implants and explants, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
Reading and interpreting echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, treadmill stress tests, Holter monitors, event monitors, and EKGs; performing device checks, including pacemaker, loop recorder, and ICD interrogations.
Clinic schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; call is flexible with at least 10 days out of the month required by by-laws.
Patient distribution: 100% outpatient, excluding consults.
Patient volume: Approximately 16-18 patients per day, with procedure frequency varying based on need.
Qualifications
Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting echocardiograms, nuclear and treadmill stress tests, Holter and event monitors, EKGs, and performing device checks and interrogations for pacemakers, loop recorders, and ICDs.
