Speech Pathologist/Therapist PRN
Position Summary
The Speech Pathologist/Therapist PRN reports to the Supervisor of Physical Medicine. The role provides speech and language evaluations and treatments for patients in accordance with hospital and departmental policies, maintains high quality patient care, and may orient staff and students. The therapist may also assume supervisory duties in the supervisor’s absence.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language evaluations and treatments under general supervision.
Orient staff and student participants as required.
Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor of Physical Medicine.

Qualifications
Minimum of Master’s level SLP/CF and current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
Physical and Sensory Requirements
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others
Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
Ability to respond to pages
Ability to lift and transfer patients exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25–50 pounds frequently
Ability to tolerate prolonged walking and standing
Ability to differentiate clinical signs and symptoms
Ability to manage stressful situations, including emergency response to patient incidents
