Job Summary
The Registered Nurse Post Op is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition; ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and use of sterile technique as appropriate; providing comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; and assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient and family readiness for discharge.
Schedule & Compensation
Monday‑Friday work schedule. No call required. No nights, weekends, or holiday work. Hourly wage range: $45.00 – $70.00 per hour, based on experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed in the state of CA
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS accreditation by AHA
2+ years experience in PACU or ICU
CPR certified; ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified
