Press Operator or Press Operator Trainee – Bryan–College Station, TX
We are hiring a full‑time press operator to operate the printing press to publish the Eagle and other regional publications. The position works with the team to produce print products according to customer specifications and within deadlines. Duties include loading newsprint, making pasters, monitoring reel stands, setting ink densities, registration, filling ink fountains, setting folders, plate making, maintaining a safe and clean press area and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be 18 years of age or older, able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, be able to distinguish colors, possess mechanical aptitude, and have the ability to work night and weekend shifts as needed. The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is required. Previous printing press experience and/or manufacturing experience are preferred. Working conditions are noisy with hearing protection required. We will train those who show aptitude.
