Hours
6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Monday‑Friday)
Overtime, as needed

Compensation
Estimated hourly base pay rate is $20.25 per hour. The role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Job Title: Assembler
We are seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our assembly function. As an assembler, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The primary tasks include assembling Mark V, TR‑II, ScadaMate, or Vista Switches in a production environment. You will work in a continuous production activity, meet requirements within time constraints, and be accountable for the quality of your work.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble Mark V circuit-switchers at one of several stations, ranging in size from 6 ft × 10 ft × 10 ft to 15 ft × 15 ft × 15 ft.

Assemble TR‑II switches, ranging in size up to 5 ft × 1 ft × 1 ft to 11 ft × 1 ft × 1 ft.

Identify, transport, install, mount and bolt all switch components (ranging from 5 lb to over 100 lb with assistance). Some judgment is required to assemble and make simple adjustments.

Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure, and electrical inspection using a test console.

Use simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes.

Education
High school diploma or GED required.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Proficient in reading blueprints.

Knowledge of electrical switching (e.g., relays, contactors, circuit breakers).

Demonstrated skill to use air‑impact tools and other hand‑held tools.

Ability to use shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.

Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.

Knowledge of mechanical assembly operations preferred.

Manufacturing assembly experience.

Soldering experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Standing: All tasks performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.

Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lb to 50 lb.

Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).

Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lb to 25 lb.

Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lb.

Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lb.

Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.

Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.

Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lb to 50 lb.

Other: Respirator certification required.
