
THERAPIST (MA/MSW)

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., located in Shippensburg, PA, offers a 112‑bed behavioral health facility that provides acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults and an adolescent inpatient program for youth ages 13‑17.
We are hiring a full‑time Therapist to work on our acute psychiatric units with both adults and adolescents.
Responsibilities
Provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
Responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy in addition to psychoeducation and group development.
Attend treatment team meetings to ensure treatment plans align with patient‑assessed needs.
Participates in the management of patient commitment status, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
Completes timely chart documentation and progress notes.
Is knowledgeable and assists in crisis management, including assessment of the patient with revisions to the care plan as needed.

Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, or a related Social Services field (required).
Experience: Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting (required).
Licensing/Certification: Licensure is not required, but preferred.
Knowledge: Preferred knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age‑specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
