RN Position Job Notes
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details
Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Full-time position with 3 available positions
Every other weekend requirement
No on-call or floating requirements
RN to patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients
Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT
Care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator-dependent patients
Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU environment
Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA
RN License in Louisiana or compact state required
One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
Complete organizational and department-specific competency validations
Provide complex nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
Temp to permanent opportunity available
