
PRN Registered Nurse RN

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring care plans are followed and clinical standards are maintained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians.
Provides direct skilled nursing services including wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration.
Supervises LPNs and Home Health Aides to ensure delivery of quality care.
Documents all patient visits, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
Educates patients and families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques.
Participates in case conferences and interdisciplinary care planning.
Responds to changes in patient condition and communicates promptly with physician and DON.
Ensures compliance with agency policies, state, and federal regulations.
We are seeking candidates to PRN needs assisting multiple clients in their homes throughout Evansville and Newburgh.
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING:
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana. Requires knowledge of home health regulations, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines, and electronic medical record systems. Strong clinical and leadership skills are essential.
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Maintains effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Provides guidance and support to LPNs and Home Health Aides.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift and move patients as necessary. Requires driving to patient homes and performing care tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily in patient homes with occasional office duties. Exposure to infectious diseases may occur.
