Peer Support Specialist
Job Duties
Peer Support Specialists are people in a peer‑designated role providing direct services with a personal experience of recovery from mental health, substance use, or trauma conditions. They receive specialized training and supervision to guide and support others who are experiencing similar issues toward increased wellness. A Peer Support Specialist is an individual who has made a personal commitment to their own recovery, has maintained that recovery over a period of time, has taken the 80‑hour Peer Support Learning training (or equivalent) within 2 years of hire, and is willing to share what they have learned about recovery in an inspirational way.

Full‑Time: AM
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
A mental health or SUD lived experience.
80‑hour Peer Support Learning or equivalent—completed within 90 days of hire or taken within 2 years of hire.
Current techniques of behavioral intervention training within six (6) months of hire.

Crestwood Fallbrook Healing Center is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) located in Northern San Diego County, in the beautiful city of Fallbrook, the “Avocado Capital of the World.” We accomplish successful reintegration through various modalities including classes, therapy, community service, and peer mentorship.
Pay Range
$21 USD – $24 USD per hour
