About the Role
The Leggett & Platt Flooring division in Statesville, NC is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to support the Carpet Underlay business. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic components on industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
Install and repair electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints.
Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices.
Diagnose and replace faulty electronic components.
May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete special projects and duties assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and conduct advanced math.
Detail-oriented and well organized.
Ability to switch between tasks frequently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
Available to work on required Saturdays.
Preferred Skills
Experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and basic electrical.
