Position Details
Full‑Time Breast Sonographer (RDMS) at Barnes Center for Advanced Med -CAM Breast Center (St. Louis, MO)
Day Shift hours: Mon‑Fri
No major holidays; possible 2 Saturdays per year with extra pay if working
RDMS or equivalent required
Breast Sonography with x‑ray (preferred)
Overview
The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging for adult and/or pediatric patients, including abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular studies. The role also includes assisting with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages.
Role Purpose
Perform ultrasound examinations, maintain equipment readiness, document studies accurately, and work independently or on‑call with portable exams as needed.
Responsibilities
Ensure proper function and readiness of all equipment.
Perform ultrasound imaging examinations and securely document procedures.
Conduct studies independently, on‑call, portable exams, and at other sites as required.
Qualifications
Associate or trade school equivalency.
No prior experience required.
RDMS (or equivalent) license/certification.
CPR certification.
RDCS (or equivalent) preferred.
Preferred: 2 years of related experience.
