About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Summer Laboratory Intern to support lab commissioning activities, assist technicians, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. This role offers hands‑on laboratory experience, exposure to analytical, micro, and environmental monitoring testing, and the opportunity to work on an independent project (laboratory automation/robotics).
Responsibilities
Assist with inventory management, including tracking supplies and performing inventory audits.
Support sample collection and preparation, including labeling bottles, preparing reagents, and cleaning/sterilizing glassware.
Help perform routine testing under technician supervision.
Enter and record data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Contribute to quality control and calibration activities.
Complete an independent project and present findings to the team.
Provide technician support for day‑to‑day lab tasks.
Participate in 5S organization efforts such as sorting, labeling, and workspace standardization.
Experience We're Looking For
Students graduating with a BS/BA in 2027 or 2028.
Proven background and interest in supply chain, customer service a plus, with a strong emphasis on exceptional service standards.
Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload under tight deadlines.
Comfortable working with people at all levels and eager to own responsibilities and drive improvements.
Proficient with SAP and Excel, using these tools to deliver accurate data analysis and business insights.
Skills for Success
