
REGISTERED NURSE INTRA PROCEDURAL RADIOLOGY

Short Description
Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors
Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians

Overview
The Radiology & IR Departments are located in the basement of the hospital. The departments serve outpatient and inpatient patients who require medical imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment of various conditions. Nurses in this role both prepare and recover patients following procedures and assist interventional radiologists and other staff during procedures. Some nurses may also assist in radiologic cases scheduled at MD Anderson.
Experience Required
2 years of Critical Care experience
Education Requirements
Graduate of an NLN‑accredited School of Nursing
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ‑RN License upon hire
Current NJ‑BLS Certification upon hire
Current ACLS upon hire
Current PALS Certification within 3 months of employment
Special Requirements
2/12 hour shifts/week: 6am‑630pm with on‑call requirement
IR Lab is open Monday–Friday
