Overview

Therapist (Day Shift) - Crisis Services/WIC (57040). This role is with Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) and involves working in Crisis Services, including a 24/7 Walk-In Clinic (WIC) offering immediate assessments and referrals for individuals in crisis, and a 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) for adults requiring short-term intensive care.
Responsibilities

Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life in clients with behavioral health concerns by providing clinical services, case management, and education. In collaboration with the client, create and carry out a consistent plan of treatment, from intake and assessment to closure.
Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual, family, and/or group therapy with assigned clients.
Develop and monitor treatment plans; update at required intervals.
Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care.
Provide clinical case-management services as needed. Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.
Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life.
Assist clients in evaluating strengths and symptoms, and set their own goals.
Guide and instruct clients in coping skills.
Offer consultation to community partners and providers.
Ensure that billing information is up-to-date for assigned clients. Seek insurance authorization for services as required.
Write reports and other correspondence, as necessary, and with appropriate releases.
Complete all requests to provide the necessary information and undertake the required activities to ensure timely and ongoing credentialing with third party payers.
Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client\'s care team.
Qualifications

Requirements:
Unlicensed Therapist or Psychologist:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in professional counseling from an APA, CACREP, or CSWE-accredited program.
Must obtain a mental health Candidate Permit within 30 days of hire and actively pursue an independent clinical license. AMHR will provide supervision for clinical hours at no cost to the employee.
Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience including diagnosing, intake assessments, and delivering individual, family, or group therapy.
Licensed Therapist or Psychologist:
At least two years of clinical experience providing care, including individual, family, and/or group therapy.
Professional licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PSYD) or equivalent; Colorado licensure within 30 days if currently licensed out-of-state.
Knowledge of theories and evidence-based practices related to clinical treatment.
Ability to learn and utilize an electronic health record proficiently.
Solid understanding of mental illness and treatment modalities within a multidisciplinary approach.
Knowledge of DSM-V.
Ability to respond effectively to all client presentations and crisis situations.
Ability to document interactions with clients, other agencies, and mental health professionals.
Compensation, Schedule and Perks

Base pay range:

$28.12/hr - $57.03/hr
Unlicensed Therapist: $28.12 - $38.48 per hour
Licensed Therapist: $31.98 - $43.76 per hour
Unlicensed Psychologist: $33.66 - $40.13 per hour
Licensed Psychologist: $47.83 - $57.03 per hour
Schedule: Fully onsite; Wednesday - Saturday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm
Shift Differentials: Day weekend $2.50/hr; Swing Weekday $2.75/hr; Swing Weekend $3.25/hr
Bilingual Language Differential Pay: Rate depends on language requirements and fluency
Bi-weekly earnings with annual max $3,000 (prorated by FTE)
