Job Summary
Division of Hematology and Oncology at SUNY Upstate Medical University seeks a physician to join as Director of Stem Cell and Cellular Therapy Program. Position open at level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Unique opportunity to lead development and growth of program within expanding division, in collaboration with Upstate Cancer Center. This role involves clinical care, teaching, development and management of research studies. It strongly supports collaboration with basic science researchers to conduct translational research focused on hematologic malignancy. Upstate Cancer Center is region’s most comprehensive resource for cancer care with its only stem cell transplant and cellular therapy programs. Clinical research is supported by dedicated Cancer Center personnel and is integrated with robust basic and translational cancer research programs. SUNY Upstate Medical University is a highly respected institution within the State University of New York system and the only academic medical center in Central New York. Upstate University Hospital, a 752‑bed teaching hospital, provides specialized care in Syracuse, New York.
