Overview
LabCorp is seeking a
Report Coordinator – Pathology Supp ort (Onsite)
to join our team in
Brentwood, TN .
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Responsibilities
Ensures all cases entering the pathology suite are processed to completion according to pathologist/client expectations within quality, time, and volume constraints.
Reviews test requisitions and submitted medical records to verify test orders, sample type, and clinical information. Assigns cases to appropriate pathologist according to established protocol.
Adds, reflexes, cancels, or sends out testing as directed by pathologists/clients.
Monitors alert worklist and investigates, takes action, follows up, and/or resolves issues as necessary.
Responds with urgency to requests for information from pathologists, clients, or laboratory departments to resolve reporting delays, client concerns, and IT issues.
Prepares revised reports for pathologist signature.
Coordinates communication between pathologists, laboratory departments, and clinicians to ensure timely completion and reporting of laboratory test results to client.
Provides general office support to Pathology Department including phones, faxing, filing, email, US mail, FedEx shipping, document scanning, and preparation of materials for off-site storage.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year or more of administrative office setting or support services experience
Preferred Qualifications
1 year or more of administrative experience in a medical laboratory, physician office, hospital, or other healthcare setting
Additional Job Standards
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
