Material Handler
Summary:Supports conveying, fabrication, and sprocket manufacturing by keeping materials stocked, removing scrap and trash, and maintaining efficient production flow.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday Hours: 5:00AM-3:30PM
Hourly Range
$20 - $22/hour.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver raw materials, components, and consumables to workstations.
Remove scrap metal, trash, empty bins, and packaging waste from all departments.
Move WIP and finished parts between fabrication, machining, assembly, and shipping.
Replenish welding wire, hardware, grinding discs, lubricants, and packaging supplies.
Maintain pointofuse inventory and communicate shortages.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and overhead cranes safely.
Support 6S and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Qualifications
Manufacturing or material handling experience preferred.
Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and walk/stand for extended periods.
Forklift and/or crane certification (or ability to become certified).
Strong safety awareness and communication skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced production areas and prioritize material needs.
Basic understanding of fabrication, machining, or assembly is a plus.
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and up to 25 lbs. frequently to constantly, work in a shop/production environment.
Preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 6S practices.
Must be able to constantly stand or sit for long periods of time as necessary in the work area.
